Our Studies

Victorion2Prevent Study (V2P)

Getting To The Heart of Cardiovascular Disease. We’re testing an investigational drug to see whether it could help reduce the risk of future cardiovascular events, such as strokes and heart attacks, in people with cardiovascular disease.

Influenza Virus

COMbination therapy with Baloxavir and Oseltamavir 1 for hospitalized patients with influenza—the Pragmatic COMBO1 trial.

VALOR

The VALOR investigational Lyme disease vaccine study is underway for healthy children and adults who live in or frequently visit areas that may expose them to ticks.

COMPLETE-2

COMPLETE – 2 is a randomized trial of physiology-guided versus angiography-guided nonculprit lesion (NCL) complete revascularization strategies and a large-scale observational study of Optical Coherence Tomography in patients with acute myocardial infarction and multivessel coronary artery disease.

This is a multicenter study sponsored by the Population Health Research Institute, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

Perosphere ClotChek studies™

Bassett Research Institute is participating in two clinical trials for a new Point of Care (POC) testing device used to measure clotting times for patients on different types of blood thinners. Patients taking Coumadin® (warfarin), Eliquis® (apixaban), or Xarelto® (rivaroxaban) may be eligible to participate.

Home Pulmonary Rehab for Pulmonary Embolism

The purpose of this pilot study is to learn whether a home rehabilitation program incorporating heart rate monitoring helps promote recovery and improves long term outcomes (reduce Post-PE Impairment). Being done in collaboration with the University of Rochester.

A Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Renal Effects of Vancomycin Combined with Either Piperacillin/tazobactam or Meropenem (VPS)

Information on this study is forthcoming.
